Community Rules & Platform Policy

1. What This Platform Is For

Mobility Parts Forum is for mobility scooter parts, powerchair parts, part requests, repair requests, classifieds, repair engineers, business directory listings, credits, boosts, resources and mobility equipment support.

It is not for spam, unrelated advertising, fake listings, scams, abuse, drama, unsafe advice or time-wasting.

2. Be Respectful

Treat other members like actual human beings. No abuse, threats, harassment, discrimination, bullying, aggressive behaviour or pointless arguing.

Keep the site helpful. If your comment does not help the request, repair question, listing or discussion, do not post it.

3. Respect The People Giving Help

Many members are repair engineers, dealers, workshop owners, technicians, parts suppliers or experienced mobility users giving up their own time.

If someone gives useful technical help, consider buying the part from them, leaving a review, recommending their business, using their services or respecting their time.

4. Post Once And Use Boosts Properly

Do not post the same part request, repair request or classified listing repeatedly. Duplicate posts clog up the site and may be removed.

If your request or listing needs more visibility, use a boost. Boosts cost 1 credit and may be used on eligible part requests, repair requests and classified listings.

5. Keep Requests And Listings Accurate

Please include as much useful detail as possible:

• Make and model
• Part description or repair issue
• Photos where possible
• Location, country or collection area
• Faults, damage, missing parts or known issues
• Flashing lights, beep counts, error codes or warning messages

Photos are strongly recommended. Classified listings, donation leads and parts requests should include clear images wherever possible.

7. No Circumventing Credits Or Contact Unlocks

Some features use credits, including customer contact unlocks, classified listings, boosts and selected private conversations.

Do not try to bypass the platform by hiding phone numbers, email addresses, website links or social media handles inside public posts, quotes, replies, images or attachments where they are not allowed.

Attempts to avoid credit-based contact unlocks may result in removed content, restricted messaging, loss of access or account suspension.

8. No Scams, Spam Or Fake Listings

Fake listings, misleading information, duplicate spam, stolen photos, false availability, bait pricing or dodgy behaviour may get your listing removed and your account restricted.

Post genuine requests. Post genuine listings. Do not mess people about.

9. Transactions Are Between Users

Mobility Parts Forum is a platform for listings, requests, replies, messages, contact sharing, business discovery and community support. We do not sell mobility products ourselves and we are not involved in transactions between users.

We do not handle:

• Payments between users
• Shipping
• Collections
• Returns
• Repairs
• Guarantees
• Compatibility checks
• Disputes between users

Any deal, repair arrangement, collection, quote or agreement is entirely at your own risk.

11. Badges, Memberships And Business Profiles

Badges, memberships, featured placements, boosts, directory listings and Premium shop showcase pages are platform features only. They do not mean Mobility Parts Forum has certified, approved, recommended or guaranteed that person or business.

“Verified”, “Premium”, “Professional”, “Featured” or similar labels do not guarantee honesty, safety, quality, competence, legality, availability or suitability.

12. Credits, Boosts And Membership Features

Credits may be used for selected platform actions including contact unlocks, classified listings, boosts and selected private conversations. Boosts improve visibility but do not guarantee replies, sales, parts availability, repair success or business leads.

Membership features, credit packs, boosts and visibility tools may change as the platform develops.

13. Keep Disputes Private

Do not use the platform to publicly attack, shame or accuse other users.

Posts like these may be removed:

• Public accusations
• Personal attacks
• Arguments and drama
• “Do not buy from this person” style posts
• Claims that cannot be checked by the platform

If a deal goes wrong, handle it privately and use appropriate payment, legal or consumer protection routes where relevant.

14. We Can Remove Content Or Accounts

We may remove listings, messages, replies, quotes, badges, boosts, business profiles, accounts or access to the platform at our discretion, especially where users are abusive, misleading, fraudulent, disruptive, unsafe, spammy or repeatedly ignoring the rules.

15. Use Common Sense

Check who you are dealing with. Be careful sharing personal information. Be cautious with payments, collections, shipping and repair arrangements. If something feels wrong, slow down and double-check.
